Grand Départ Tour from Barcelona
On July 4th, Barcelona dresses in its finest to welcome the Tour de France Grand Départ. With Ciclare, you aren’t just a spectator; you are part of the story. Our experience blends the adrenaline of active cycling with the thrill of watching the world’s greatest race from the front row.
The day begins at the iconic Café de Finca in Castelldefels, heading south to tackle the winding profile of the Costas del Garraf. This opening stretch between Port Ginesta and Sitges offers “leg-breaking” terrain with panoramic Mediterranean views—the perfect way to find your rhythm. After reaching Sitges, we turn back toward Barcelona’s metropolitan heart, maintaining a steady, fluid pace along the coastal road.
The ride culminates at Riders Boutique, strategically located next to Plaça d’Espanya. Over a total of 65 kilometers and 500 meters of elevation, you’ll have conquered the coast before settling into this cyclist’s sanctuary. Here, we will enjoy an exceptional lunch as the roar of the caravan announces the arrival of the world’s elite riders.
This is the inaugural stage of the 2026 Tour de France. You’ll feel the draft of the pros flying by just meters away while savoring curated local flavors. It is a total immersion into cycling culture, where passion and the Mediterranean lifestyle merge into a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Barcelona´Surroundings – 75kms and 1200m+
Following the electric energy of the Tour’s start in Barcelona, Day 2 takes us into the heart of the landscape. We begin with the ascent from Castelldefels to Begues, a climb that defines the rugged character of the Garraf Massif.
After crowning the summit, the route transitions through Olesa de Bonesvalls and Vallirana before descending into the Llobregat Valley at Molins de Rei. From there, we will tackle the climb to Tibidabo, riding the very same roads as the 2026 Tour de France. We’ll return to our city hub, Riders Boutique, to witness the pros battle it out during Stage 2.
To cap off the day, we head back to Castelldefels to savor a Mediterranean sunset right from the beach.
Dia 4
Perafita and Vic– 90 kms and 1400 m+
Our third day shifts north to the Osona region, a territory defined by its spectacular topography. Setting out from Perafita, the group will head toward Sant Bartomeu del Grau and Gurb, traversing challenging mid-mountain sectors.
Passing through Vic adds exceptional symbolic value as we watch the Tour de France caravan pass by on its journey northward. The final loop winds through Oristà and Olost, set in a rural landscape that alternates between steep gradients and technical descents.
With 1,400 meters of accumulated elevation gain, managing hydration and gearing is critical to maintaining peak performance until we return to Perafita. The day concludes with a well-deserved meal at our starting point, sharing the excitement of the Tour with your fellow riders.

Last dance
We don’t want you to leave without one last great memory. Before heading to the airport, we’ve designed a 60 km farewell route created to savor Barcelona one last time. This urban and peri-urban ride is the perfect balance between active cycling and the pleasure of effortless discovery—flowing along the seafront, through the history of Ciutadella Park, and the architectural elegance of the Eixample.
We’ll climb Montjuïc for one final panoramic view of the Mediterranean, blending the physical effort with stops designed to leave you with the best possible taste in your mouth. This route is all about enjoying the city’s bike lanes and iconic corners, making the most of your bike until the very last minute. At Ciclare, we ensure the transition to your flight is smooth and relaxed, closing your journey with the satisfaction of having lived Barcelona to the fullest—from the first pedal stroke to the last coffee by the sea.

I was lucky enough to experience a unique ride with Dani on one of his MTB routes. We pedaled through Barcelona’s spectacular landscapes, including the climb up to Tibidabo. He combines a deep knowledge of the terrain with a passion for cycling that turns every ride into something truly special.

I had the pleasure of joining Dani for a bike tour in Barcelona two years ago, climbing Tibidabo, and I cannot recommend him enough. Dani’s deep knowledge of the city, combined with his passion for cycling, made for an exceptional experience. He designed a route that was both challenging and rewarding, ensuring I felt comfortable while still pushing my limits.
